Pumpkins

  

This was another one I hosted.  I threw it together last minutes since someone else had to cancel.  We read Pumpkin, Pumpkin by Jeanne Titherington and Five Little Pumpkins.

Then we made Jack-o-Lanterns by glueing face pieces on cut outs of pumpkins and glueing them to a stick. We do this pretty much every year...here are som pictures of Matthew's a few years ago.  He has grown a lot since then!

Five Little Pumpkins Rhyme

The first one said, "Oh my it's getting late!"
The second one said, "There are witches in the air!"
The third one said, "But we don't care!!"
The fourth one said, "Let's run and run and run!"
The fifth one said, "Isn't Halloween fun?"
Then WHOOOOO went the wind
and OUT (CLAP) went the lights!
And five little pumpkins, rooooolled (roll hands) out of sight!
